The Spirit of the Word

We are born again believers read and hear the word all the time. We get to a point where we can actually recite the word. When a preacher is preaching, you will find yourself repeating the scripture as you have recited the word so much. We actually become familiar with the word to the point that sometimes we may get bored as the preacher is preaching because we have heard the scripture so many times. I would give a warning at this point, never get too familiar with the word or allow yourself to get bored in a meeting because you feel that you already heard the message before. This is the living word of God and it has power.

In a meeting focus on the word being preached, be attentive, be hungry for the revelation of the word so you stay on fire for God. The most important aspect of listening and hearing, is waiting to hear from God out of the word being preached. The same scripture that you have heard so many times, suddenly comes alive and the spirit of the word is revealed to you. A question, or situation you may have been experiencing suddenly comes alive to you and your question is answered or you immediately know what it is you have to do. The spirit of the word is made a live to you. It is God speaking to you. He knows every detail of your life, so He knows what it is you need in that particular season of your life. what an amazing, wonderful God, who speaks to His people through His word. It is as if God breathes life into the word, you are hearing and your spirit man suddenly comes alive. It triggers a revival in your heart and you cannot wait to share it with others.
