Hunger for the Word
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Words build or break down. When we put words together, they make a sentence, when sentences are put together, they make up a language. We believers have the language of the word of God. It is Jesus speaking through us when we speak the word of God.
A person who suffers from malnutrition is suffering from a lack of nutrition, caused by not having enough to eat, not eating enough of the right food. This is in the natural realm that a person can suffer from malnutrition.
It is the same in the spirit realm. Many of us a suffering from word malnutrition. We do not have enough of the diet of the word of God. The bible is lying on the desk in our homes or even on our bed stand and it is collecting dust because we never indulge in the word of God. our minds are suffering, our hearts are suffering from this lack of word diet.
I pray that you will ask the Holy Spirit to help you to have a hunger for the word of God. When this word nutrient goes into your spirit man, you become a whole new person. The scale does not show any increase in weight, because the word only brings calories of blessing and overflow. There is the wisdom of God that comes from the word and this changes you from inside out. The word does not need to be prepared in any shape or form. It comes fully prepared, all it needs is a person who is hungry for the word. This hunger once started in you is insatiable. It is never satisfied, because the joy of feeding on the word wants more and more of that same word. The word does not have a shelf life. It will last a life time and you will invest it into the next generation. The word never spoils because it is not in the fridge, it needs no maintenance from you. It is quite capable of sustaining you. The wealth of the word can be seen on your face as it keeps you young and health is sustained by this precious word.]
Can we afford not to be hungry for the word?
