The Culture of Worship

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
Psalm 29v2

What is culture? The ideas, customs and social behaviour of a particular people or society.

We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. We belong to the family of God. The family of God are worshippers of God. We take great delight in worshipping our Father in Spirit and in truth. Our heart thirsts and longs for the living God. We are a people who are grateful for the great things He has done in our lives. We have a culture of worship. Our voices are raised in worship and thanksgiving to our God. Our worship is a reflection of our love for our Father. This desire to worship has been etched into our hearts. The Holy Spirit helps us in our worship. The desire to worship grows stronger and stronger as we get to know our Father more and more.

Worship brings freedom, worship gets rid of the feeling of oppression and depression. Worship lifts up our hearts to know and understand our God more and more. Our God is amazing and deserves our worship.

If you are feeling down, put on some praise and worship music and soon your heart gets so full that you cannot help but worship the Father. You may say, you do not know how to sing. God is not interested in how well you sing, what He is interested in, is your worship. He looks forward to you coming into his presence with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. It is a sound that is like rejoices his heart. Your worship is received like incence in the courts of God. Your worship is a weapon against the enemy. Your worship brings in the presence of God in a tangible way.

Worship the Father. Cultivate the culture of worship into your daily lifestyle.
