Refuse to Judge

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly]. For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you.”
Matthew 7v1-2

Judgement and criticism are blessing blockers. They also cause strain in relationships. Is it worth being a judgemental person? No. Being Judgemental is saying you are better than the other person. We judge from a stand point of legalism or self-righteousness. We look at the other person as if we are more righteous than them. It is not a healthy perspective. Give people the right to be who they are. We are not all on the same level. Every person is at a different stage in their lives. All of us are growing and learning so let’s make room for others.

Relationships are complicated to start with. There are different types of people with different likes and dislikes, so the best way is to accept people as they are. Do not have expectations of others that are too high and then you are disappointed because they did not fulfill your expectations. High expectations leave room for disappointment. So take each day as it comes. Sufficient unto the day are the troubles thereof. Refuse to judge.
