The Comforter

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.”
When you are born again, the greatest friend you will ever encounter is the Holy Spirit. Jesus called him the comforter, one just like him. Jesus was on earth in the flesh and he could not be of help to all of us at the same time. He then asked the comforter to come and dwell in us. The comforter is our helper, our stand by, our teacher and guide. He never leaves us nor does he ever forsake us. He will be a guide walking with us throughout this life. He brings things to your remembrance and teaches you the language of love. He is the Spirit of God who changes you from the inside out. He renews you and is the best friend you will ever have.
The bible says that he not only comforts you, but with the same comfort you receive, you go and comfort others. The work of the ministry is not only for us but for us to take what we have learnt and add value to another life. amen
