The Cost of a Wrong Decision

Pastor Wesley & Yajhna Sing · 2 min read

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.”
Genesis 3v6

It was not about the serpent or the apple, it was about a decision that Adam made. He was presented with a tempting situation. He had the word of God and he had the presence of God so he could have consulted God before making the decision, but he chose to make a decision that was a quick fix but cost him and the generations to come a life of sin. His decision caused us all to take on the nature of sin. God had to send Jesus to come and die on the cross and shed his blood so that you and I can be reconciled back to God. Thank you Jesus for your choice to come and die for us and to rise again so that we can be reconciled back to God.

In all of our lives, we are presented with situations, some are so tempting that they look right and feel right and we think it is the right thing to do, however it is not the right decision and the consequences are more than we can bear. I suggest we all present every decision to God and also ask for guidance so we keep the will of God active in our lives. The wrong decision in our lives could affect our life and families and it keeps everyone back. Go on. You are a great son/daughter of God. I know you can make good decision. The holy spirit is with you.
