Life Rooted in God (Part 2)

“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him”
Jesus upholds all things ‘By the Word of His Power’ God’s Power is released in you when you stay alive with His Word. When God created plants, He called them forth from the soil, thereby establishing the law that plants must live off the soil. When the plant violates that Word, it dies.
God keeps that plant alive in the Power of His Word. As long as the plant abides by the Law of God set at creation, it flourishes and grows. But if the plant chooses to disregard that law, death is inevitable. The same is true in our lives. There’s Power in God’s Word when we keep it.
Jesus describes himself as the Vine and his disciples as the Branches. For us to have a pure and beautiful Christian life, we need to have an uninterrupted fellowship with God. For us to have a splendor in bearing fruit and honoring both God and man, we need to have deep roots in God.
