Life Rooted in God (Part 1)

“ 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”
We have been given the responsibility to share the message of the Gospel with the whole World. If you cut yourself from God, your potential is aborted. You cannot plant yourself in anything but God. You must know God personally and draw your nutrients from Him.
Our need for God is not an alternative or option. Like the plants and the animals, which cannot be maintained without soil, and the fish which cannot live outside the water, we cannot flourish and bear fruit apart from God.
He is not trying to convince us that He is the best way. He is the only way. Life rooted in God is a necessity. One of the most effective ways we can be rooted in Christ is to immerse ourselves in his word. When you read and study Scripture, remember that it is a lifeline with the Lord. You are striking your roots deeper and deeper into good life-giving soil and drinking from the living waters.
