Being Filled with the Knowledge of Gods Will (Part 2)

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;”
The Apostle Paul prayed that the Christians in the Colossian Church would be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will. To be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will, our minds must be continually transformed. That means to be changed from selfish and carnal thoughts and for our minds to be renewed by the Word.
As our minds are renewed, the Holy Spirit will be able to reveal and fill our minds with God’s will. As our minds are filled with the full knowledge of God’s Will, it will become the controlling Power of our lives. God’s Will then becomes the one driving force behind all our actions and motives. We too, will be able to look at the Father, as Jesus did and say, “We are not here to do our own will.”
We are not here to fulfill our own personal desires but we are here to do God’s Will. Be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will until it permeates your thoughts, your will and your actions. Position yourself, as Jesus did, knowing the Will of God in your life.
