Being Filled with the Knowledge of Gods Will (Part 1)

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;.”
It is not enough to have head knowledge. That is to intellectually know what the Word reveals to us as God’s will. The disciples at one time had head knowledge. They were trying to understand God’s will with their natural minds.
Many Christians today have studied the Word and know the doctrines it teaches, but their knowledge of God’s Will is based only upon the Power of their natural minds. They know its God’s Will to heal their bodies… They know it is God’s Will to save their children… They know it is God’s Will to deliver their loved ones from alcohol and drugs… They know it is God’s Will to restore their marriage… They know that it is God’s Will to supply their needs.
But like the disciples, that knowledge has not penetrated their Spiritual Minds, until, “they know that they know that they know.” The natural mind cannot comprehend and discern God’s Will. It must be spiritually discerned. Do know that the natural mind is opposed to the Spirit. Make every effort to be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will.
