A Mature Heart
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

““Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God.”
In this time and hour, it has become necessary to mature in Christ. We need to grow in grace and wisdom so we can hear the voice of our Father and know his instruction for our lives. We need to put away childishness. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us not to be emotionally ruled. We need to set aside the things in our life that keep us from hearing God.
In the company of people who do not know God, we will hear all kinds of things and nothing we hear will ever benefit us. Infact, the things we hear will affect our faith and substract from our lives the things we have that benefit us, from the presence of God.
The world says, show me your friends and I will show you your future. The bible says
Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” 1 Corinthians 15v33.
I think you would agree that the two says kind of agree with each other. We have to watch the company we keep. If we want the best of what God has for us, we need to keep company with men of like thinking, men or women who are followers of God and thriving in his presence. We will hunger for what they have when we see the benefits of a God man or God woman.
We grow in to maturity when we do not constantly need someone around to help, when we move away from the blame game (blaming others for what is wrong) and also when we acknowledge we have a victim mentality and we need change.
Be sober-minded [be sensible, wake up from your spiritual stupor] as you ought, and stop sinning; for some [of you] have no knowledge of God [you are disgracefully ignorant of Him, and ignore His truths]. I say this to your shame. 1Corinthians 15v34.
