Choosing your Thoughts

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”
Phil 4v8

We have the power to choose what we think about. Paul talking to us in this scripture is really saying, you choose what you will think about. When in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and walking with Him daily, this choice becomes easier and easier. When the enemy comes in like a flood with thoughts that do not cause you to be peaceful and steals your joy, recognise his strategy and develop a counter strategy of your own. When the voice of the enemy says, you are broke and you cannot afford to take care of your bills, you turn around and say, I am blessed and I have no debt. I have plenty of financial resources in store with plenty more to help others. I will never know lack in my life. you are choosing things that a good and lovely and thoughts that are helping you to be encouraged. You thoughts are your wealth creators. Why do I say that. If you have negative thoughts they steal from you and even steal from your future, because what you do today, affects your today and tomorrow.

So, family, thoughts are not just the things we think about in our heads. No, they are like valuable assets that we invest in our mind. They help us build our future and create an environment around us that is conducive to our wealthy place. Just like seed is sown to reap a harvest, thoughts are sown into our mind to make us more and more like Christ. We must allow the holy spirit to help us think on those things which are lovely and a good report. Our healthy thoughts are connected to our health prosperity. If we constantly make bad choices on what we eat, we will soon reap the consequences of our bad eating decisions and we will reap the fruit of sickness and disease.

The thriver allows himself, by the holy spirit to only think on those things which are of a good report. He knows that anything contrary to the promises of God will rob them of their future prosperity.
