Unshakeable Faith

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 3 min read

“She said, “Yes, Lord; but even the pet dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their [young] masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in My power] is great; it will be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment.”
Matthew 15v27-28

The woman in the above scripture was a non-Jew, yet she came to Jesus because she had heard of the miracles he could perform. The fact that she was a non-Jew did not disturb her at all. The love for her daughter prompted her to seek a solution for her daughter’s deliverance. She heard of the miracles which caused her to have unshakeable faith. She was convinced that Jesus was the person to deliver her daughter. He was pretty clear when he said to her, he had not come for the non-Jews, he had only come to the household of Israel. Actually, it was pretty insulting as he used the word “dogs” to describe the non-Jews. Again, this did not disturb her faith. She persisted and said even the dogs ate the crumbs from under the table. This was Jesus’s cue, he spoke the word and her daughter was healed from that moment. He was looking for that unshakeable faith. he recognized the kind of faith she had.

Friend, there words used that could have offended the lady and make her turn back, but her faith was unshakeable and determined. She persisted. She had come for a solution to her problem and she was not leaving until she received her miracle. This is how we ought to be daily in our walk with Jesus. We need to be, determined, we need to have unshakeable faith. we must make up our minds that nothing will stop us and obtaining what we have committed to the father and we know that we know in our knower, that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above that we ask or think or even dare to imagine.

A thriver’s faith is unshakeable because they know their God.
