The Gratefulness of the Thriver

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”
Psalm 103v1-2

The bible says, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What we meditate on, will be heard in the words that we speak. The Thriver is a person who meditates on the goodness of God and His faithfulness. Constantly the Thriver says, thank you Jesus. Whatever the task or how small the achievement, in it and through it all, the Thriver will say in their heart or out aloud, “thank you Jesus!”. The gratefulness of the thriver is the evidence revealed through their words of thanks unto the Lord for His goodness towards them.

The thriver understands Jeremiah 29v11, the thoughts towards us are for good and not for evil. So, the thriver knows no harm or danger can befall them. Even if there is a disaster, it will be temporary and in the midst of the disaster God provides a means of escape and the condition of the Thriver is even better than before the disaster. What a life. The is the God kind of life. This is the Zoe life of God. We must stay focused on the goodness of God so the gratefulness flows into our heart and then is spoken through our mouths.

Family of God, make a decision today, “I will be a person who expresses my gratefulness”. I will say thank you to my heavenly father and to my family around me. When people do something for me, I will remember to say thank you. It is not only good manners, but it is evidence of a God man or God woman. The presence of God overflows into the environment around them, making them attractive to their world and creates a hunger for their God.
