The Discernment of the Thriver

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil”
We call it a hunch, we call it “something told me” or whatever one may call it, but as we get to know the holy Spirit and walk with him, we then begin to realise, this is the voice of the spirit of God telling us things and warning us against danger. As we walk and talk to the holy Spirit we begin to know his voice. The thriver knows the voice of the Holy Spirit. Just like Jesus said, my sheep hear my voice. We too get to know the voice of the Holy Spirit. We are the temple of the living God and the spirit of God lives on the inside of us. So he takes ownership of our lives. Our joy and our great success depends on our fellowship with him.
We need to take the time to invest in our fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We need to take the time to meditate on the word of God, but even this is difficult in your own strength. In your fellowship with the Holy Spirit he will give you revelation of the word and show you what the word of God is actually saying.
When we start out reading our bible, it is a little boring or we find ourselves falling asleep. That is fine. Keep at it. Slowly you will grow a love for the word of God. When we get born again we also receive the Holy Spirit as our unseen partner, our standby and our guide. He will not do anything at first, he will leave you to walk along in your faith. As you hunger and thirst after a greater walk with God, the Holy Spirit starts to reveal himself. He will show you stuff, or he will slowly start to speak to you. The start of this walk and evidence is the love of God that starts to flood your heart. There is a strength that you cannot explain, there is a joy so full that you know that you know that it is not a natural joy. When you invite him in, then he unveils himself to you and starts to be a formal partner with you and the two of you strike up a strategic alliance.
The thriver feeds on this good life and fellowship so the evidence of this life is visible in the life of a thriver. I challenge you today. invite the Holy Spirit into your life. You will grow and flourish and abound in the blessings of God.
