My Mind is Renewed
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”
A renewed mind is ground that can be cultivated by the Holy Spirit so we can walk in the perfect will of God.
Paul puts two things side by side here: being conformed and being transformed. Conforming happens to you. You do not have to try, you only have to stop paying attention. Transformation is the work of the Word on a mind that keeps coming back to it.
Notice the order. Renewing comes before proving. We cannot know the good and acceptable and perfect will of God while we are still reasoning the way the world reasons. So give the Holy Spirit something to work with today. Read it, say it, and think about it while you are driving and while you are falling asleep.
I meditate on your word so I harvest a multitude of every good thing you have for me.
