My Friend, My Comforter

“All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial”
In each and every one of our lives, we will face adversity. We cannot run from it, we cannot hide from it. The bible says, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them from them all. So, we have to make a decision as to how we will handle this adversity. The person of the Holy Spirit is the best trainer to equip us to handle adversity. Whatever we face, God is fully aware of it. He is a present help in the time of trouble. We are not alone. He will never give us more than we can endure.
What He is asking, is that you develop an intimate relationship with the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit. If you do not want to live a defeated life, then take the time to develop friendship with the Holy Spirit. He is the best friend you will ever have. He becomes your confidant and he never tells your secrets to anyone else.
When you are facing a challenge, he strengthens you from the inside and gives you strategy on how to handle the situation. The duration of the trial or trouble is depending on how patient you are and how much faith you place in God. As you commit the matter to the Holy Spirit, he works it out for you, through you. When you overcome the situation and grow in your faith and confidence, you now become a witness, you can testify to the goodness of God. When you meet someone else facing a similar situation, you are able to comfort them with the same comfort, the Holy Spirit has comforted you with. So, family of God, the pain may seem fruitless at the time, but God is at work, working in you to build you up so you are a witness of his goodness to others.
He works all things together for your good and I want to add, the good is also beneficial to others. So, really our troubles make us trail blazers and when we overcome we open the door for others to follow.
