Fight the Good Fight of Faith
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“I’m charging you before the life-giving God and before Christ, who took his stand before Pontius Pilate and didn’t give an inch: Keep this command to the letter, and don’t slack off. Our Master, Jesus Christ, is on his way. He’ll show up right on time, his arrival guaranteed by the Blessed and Undisputed Ruler, High King, High God. He’s the only one death can’t touch, his light so bright no one can get close. He’s never been seen by human eyes—human eyes can’t take him in! Honor to him, and eternal rule! Oh, yes.”
Paul instructs Timothy, fight the good fight of faith. Fight through every difficulty and challenge. He is not talking about a physical fight where you use weapons. No! be mentally alert, be strategic, be determined, be mentally resolved against every attack of the enemy. Do not let your mind give you thoughts of chaos and disaster. When your emotions are attacked and want to give in, you stand firm against giving in. Speak the word, pertaining to your situation out aloud. If you do not know what to say, get your bible and start looking up scriptures that you can read out aloud.
I am sure you are saying, I do not have time for this. I, agree. Taking out the word when the battle is raging sounds ludicrous but it seems like that is how we tend to manage our lives. Take the time before hand to prepare your heart and mind by meditating on the word of God, go to church and listen to the word so your faith grows. Spend time in the presence of God so you spirit man is strengthened with might on the inner man. Now when the battle rages you are not afraid. Why? Because the weapons of your warfare are not carnal. You do not need guns or arrows to fight, you know you have authority and power so you loose it into the atmosphere by releasing words of power. Peace! Be still. Now you are a mighty force to be reckoned with. The devil is now afraid to mess with you.
Get battle ready and fight the good fight of faith.
