The Blessing of Protection

“You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: “GOD, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you— under them you’re perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm”

We can live in peace knowing God is our protector, our shield and our exceeding great reward. He hides us under the shadow of his wings so no harm or danger can befall us. A thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand but it will never come near our dwelling place. We are secure in his ever-lasting arms. His name is a strong tower and we the righteous run therein and we are safe.
He gives his angels charge over us. No matter where you go, the angels are ever with you, protecting you and keeping you. Remember that car accident you should have had and how you were saved. That was the angel at work on your behalf. There was a major storm and all the houses around you were affected but your house was safe. You left your keys in the car and your car was not stolen? That was the angels taking care of your car till you came.
You left the house unlocked and when you got home all was safe and well, that was the angels guarding and keeping your house. God is our protector. He will keep us from sickness and disease and every dangerous thing that could take your life. He is protecting you 24/7.
You were late one morning and you were really upset as you had to be at work on time. The 15 minute delay in you leaving home kept you from an accident that took place on the same route you would have taken. That could have been you, but he saved you. Think about all the times he has protected you and saved you. He is your protector. It is a blessing of salvation to enjoy protection.
