The Blessing of No Sorrow
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“The blessing of the LORD brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God]”
Sorrow – as a noun – a feeling of deep distress caused by disappointment or other misfortune suffered by oneself or others.
Sorrow – as a verb – feel or display deep distress
As a born-again child of God, we live in the blessing of God. He envelopes us in his embrace on a daily basis. He watches over us so no harm or danger can come near us. We will indeed experience difficult and challenging situations but in it, and through it all, his presence is with us. He gives us comfort by the Holy Spirit and he surrounds us with favour as a shield.
I am not saying we will never face danger or tough times. What I am saying is the tougher the times, the tougher God makes us by allowing us to see how great He is. The more we believe the more we see how great our God really is.
He promises us, that his blessings, makes rich and adds no sorrow. We will never feel hopeless. We will not be overcome by a deep feeling of distress. We may experience disappointment but the disappointment comes from our expectations not being met. Perhaps we wanted God to come through for us within a certain time and it does not happen. Or perhaps a loved one is sick and you have been praying for them but they die. This is not God punishing you and giving you sorrow. Death is not caused by God. The world says God gives and God takes away. Absolutely not. The devil is the god of this world, and he comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came that we may have life and life to the full. In the midst of challenges there is a strength that overcomes you, this strength and power comes from the Lord.
Live in this blessing. Expect this blessing to operate in your life. believe God and trust in Him, He will never fail you, never leave you nor forsake you. What the enemy means for evil, God will turn it around for your good. Every good and perfect gift, comes from the Father, of lights, without whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. He gives perfect gifts.
