The Blessing of Answered Prayer

“Oh, GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, If you’ll take a good, hard look at my pain, If you’ll quit neglecting me and go into action for me By giving me a son, I’ll give him completely, unreservedly to you. I’ll set him apart for a life of holy discipline. 1 Samuel 1v11 It so happened that as she continued in prayer before GOD, Eli was watching her closely. Hannah was praying in her heart, silently. Her lips moved, but no sound was heard”
This is the story of Hannah, the mother of the prophet Samuel. The prophet who anointed David as king. Here was his mother who was barren and there was no way she could fall pregnant, except she go to the Father and pray and ask him to intervene on her behalf. The situation was impossible without the help of God. So Hannah made the choice to present her case to the Lord as she knew that He was the only person who could provide for her need. Indeed he did, first he let the priest see and hear her and then he gave a word through the priest that she would have a child. Samuel was born at the appointed time and after God answered this prayer. She gave her son Samuel to the Lord to serve in the Temple of the Lord. It was not long after this that the Lord bless her with many more children. God hears and answers our prayer.
James, say we do not receive because we do not ask. Jesus said, ask anything in my name believing and you will receive. Go to the Lord in prayer. Write out your prayer requests in a journal and go before the father to present it to Him. He will answer you and give you more than you asked for. He says, ask of me and I will show you great and mighty things that you know not. The secret to this blessing of Answered prayer is going to God with your needs and surely he will answer you.
