The Blessing of Justification

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Therefore, as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life”
Romans 5v18

We have been justified, just as if we have never sinned. Think of this, a person who has committed murder or theft, goes to court and after the presentation of the evidence, the judge declares that he is free. Why is he set free? The presentation of the facts, makes it difficult for the judge to declare him guilty. Why? There is a person who comes into the room and says, I take his place and will pay the price for his sin. The judge has no option but to declare that he is free. Exactly like us, Jesus came and took our sin upon himself and has died in our place, making us free from sin and shame. We are free, we are justified, just as if we have never sinned. Jesus took our place. He paid the price in our place. We are now sin free. We stand before God as if we have never sinned. What an honour and what a privilege. We can go before God with an innocent heart. We do not have to remember our sin or the things we have done wrong. We can go to the Father and present our love and offering to him and he will receive it, willingly.

He does not see you, the way you see yourself, He sees Jesus and all that Jesus has done for you. You are his beloved, the apple of His eye. He has you in the palm of His hand. He will never leave you, nor will He forsake you. You are blessed and you are justified. Walk in this justification, a clear conscious, free from sin. You are loved.
