Be an Encourager
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire”
Kind words heal and help;
cutting words wound and maim. Prov 15v4
Perceptive words spread knowledge;
fools are hollow—there’s nothing to them. Prov 15v7
Our words are healing tools, that God uses to heal people. We need to use our words wisely so we can be an encourager. Many people are facing dire straits right now and are looking for comfort and hope. Within us is the spirit of God who teaches us and gives us abundant life. We need to share this abundant Christ life and be an encourager where ever we go.
We need to start out by first encouraging ourselves. We have faced so much trauma and darkness that this has become the norm. we feel hopeless and lost sometimes so we need to encourage ourselves. David encouraged himself in the Lord. Let us encourage ourselves to face tomorrow. Our God is with us and for us.
We need to be perceptive in our environment to notice people who are in need of encouragement. Do not judge, just accept where people are and use your words as tools to build hope and dig them out of the pits they have allowed themselves to fall in. As you go about encouraging others, you are setting yourself up for the future, so others will encourage you should you be in need of encouragement.
