The Courage to Apologise
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“But those who stood near Paul said, “Are you insulting the high priest of God?” Paul said, “I was not aware, brothers, that he was high priest; for it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF A RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE.’”
Paul was taken in for questioning and the interrogation got quite heated. Paul then responded rudely, hence the above scripture. He was humble enough to apologise as he understood, he was not supposed to be rude to the appointed high priest.
In many cases we make a judgement or a comment but even if we are wrong, it becomes difficulty to apologise as it affects our pride or we are too ashamed to apologise. An apology sets you free. It untangles you from pride and a feeling of being high minded. An apology is very humbling but it makes you appreciate God more. Feel free to apologise if you are wrong and sometimes, even if you know you are right. For the sake of peace and good relationship, it wiser to apologise to build a bridge with those you are consulting with. Consider this an option, it is so worth it.
