Identifying My Audience Whilst Pursuing My Purpose

Pastor Wesley & Yajhna Sing · 1 min read

“One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.” So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.”
Acts 13v2

Paul and Barnabas were called to minister the gospel to the gentiles. They were specifically equipped and trained by the Holy spirit to speak to the gentiles in a language that the gentiles would understand and receive. He did a great job with Barnabas as they partnered together.

Paul had a revelation of who he was in Christ so he was able to communicate this to the people to whom he was called and was very effective in his ministry. Actually, the word says God prospered him in his ministry.

We need to know who we should be talking to. We need to understand our purpose and the people to whom we are called to. It’s amazing to me how some people can minister to people who have been drug addicts or alcoholics. I marvel at the manner in which they impact the lives of these people. I am lost when it comes to addictions so I find it hard to relate. So, I like to minister to people one on one, that is where I do best. You have to find who it is God has called you to and find the joy of seeing them being blessed.
