Growing in My Love Walk – Purpose Driven Love

“I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.”
The apostle Paul was speaking to the church in Philippi and the church at large. He was commending them for their work in the kingdom. In the message was his encouragement for them to live good lives and focus on what is really important. It is the same for us. In order for us to fulfill our purpose and calling in this Kingdom life, we need to grow in our love walk. Love covers a multitude of sins. Love over looks an offense. Love never considers a wrong done to them.
The Holy Spirit shed his love, the God kind of love into our hearts and he teaches us daily to love others. We will never fulfill our call and purpose if we never allow the love of God to permeate our lives. We need to love souls, to win them to Christ and bring them into the kingdom of God. Many souls are bleeding and dying, we need to pour in the oil and the wine of love into their hearts to win them to Christ. We need to understand what really matters. The souls of men matter to God.
