You Are to Be Consistent

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“At dawn of the seventh day they started out again, but this time they went around the city not once, but seven times. The seventh time, as the priests blew a long, loud trumpet blast, Joshua yelled to the people, "Shout! The Lord has given us the city!”
(Joshua 6:15-16)

To get a clear picture of what took place when Jericho was captured, we have to read the entire account in the book of Joshua 6:5-16. Here we find that both Joshua and the Israelites were consistent. Let us now consider their consistency so that we can put these vital principles to work in our lives.

a) Joshua received instructions from the Lord and when the instructions were carried out, the walls of Jericho came down. This is how the Israelites gained the Victory over their enemy. b) They won the battle because they were obedient to the instructions of the Lord. In other words, they obeyed the Lord. They remained consistent in carrying out His Word. c) And finally, they were not moved by what they saw in the Natural Realm.

To be Consistent means: Keeping to a regular pattern or style, not changing and so forth. Make up your mind that you will be consistent in your Spiritual walk and your Service to God. Don’t allow others or the devil to change your Consistency.
