How Do You Get Faith – Part 2

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
(Romans 10:8-10 – NKJV)

People take these steps to receive Salvation: Confess, Believe and Accept. In Acts 11:13-14, God instructed Cornelius to send for Peter in order to learn the plan of Salvation and in the great commission Jesus told His Disciples – Mark 16:15-18 NKJV “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Cornelius had not yet heard the Gospel, because he was not saved. Also, angels cannot preach the Gospel because God has given this task to man – Romans 10:17 NKJV “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
