Take It to the Throne Not to the Phone!

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
Romans 16:17

Sometimes when you see things aren’t quite right in your church, you may have the tendency to talk about it. Negative things may irritate you, and your concerns may be legitimate. However, it is never our place to speak negatively or gossip about the Pastor, Church or leadership.

We don’t ever want to be used by the enemy to cause trouble or harm in the church. I am sure all of us have said things at times that we wish we hadn’t said, so the best thing to do is ask God to forgive us and never do it again. Never let the devil draw you into the trap of gossiping about your Pastor and leaders.

Have you ever heard of ‘Roast Pastor’? That means people have Pastor for lunch! In other words, instead of looking at the positive things, they roast the Pastor at lunchtime after church by picking apart all the things they didn’t agree with in the service.

Isn’t it funny that most people who are experts at expressing opinions all day long never really do anything themselves? I am merely suggesting that we use our energies positively and for the good of the Church!
