Main text
- Mark 5:35-36
- 1When the servants said the child was dead, Jesus turned at once and told Jairus only to believe. To shut his mind to the report
- 2The first test came within six months of being born again, which shows that background makes no one exempt
- 3Most people are Christians because their parents were, or because it was acceptable to be one
- 4There was a night with a convulsing baby and nothing to do but pray in tongues, and it stopped
- 5Sometimes faith is blind trusting, because that is simply how it has to be
- 6When you insist on your own way, God may permit it, but you will pay for it, because it will not work out for your good
- 7Testing leaves you stronger, more resilient and more determined, not diminished
Scriptures
- Mark 5:35-36
