A Cultivated Heart

“For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit, nor, on the other hand, a bad tree which produces good fruit.”
Cultivation is a farming word. It means preparing land, planting seeds, and caring for crops.
It also means helping something grow or get better over time, such as your mind, your skills and relationships.
Your heart is the soil of the seed of the word. The Holy Spirit tills the soil of your heart and breaks up the soil of your heart preparing it to receive the word of God. When the soil of your heart is tilled, the fruit of joy, peace, thanksgiving begins to blossom and the people in your life are able to partake of the fruit in your life. You become a dispenser of the fruit of the spirit.
In your social and personal growth, the cultivation of the heart by the Holy Spirit is to develop your social skills, improve your manners as well as develop the intrinsic skills given to you by the Lord eg. A musical person can have their musical skill enhanced just by allowing the Holy Spirit to cultivate your heart. A person in business who gives themselves to time with the Lord will allow the Holy Spirit to develop their entrepreneurial skills so they are more effective in business. I marvel at how the Holy Spirit is such an integral part of our lives, no matter where we are at. The moment we make an intentional decision to invite the
Holy Spirit in to cultivate our hearts, we become more prosperous in every area of our lives, including our physical and social skills.
The Thriver willing allows the Holy Spirit to cultivate their hearts so they are more effective in their daily life, winning souls to Christ.
