The Power of a Seed

“And Abram gave him a tenth of all [the treasure he had taken in battle]”
Abraham sowed into the life of Melchezedik, who was a priest with no beginingor ending. Abraham was a generous man. He had just won a war and from the spoils he decided to give a tenth to Melchezedic. This was a seed sown into the life of Melchezedik and really he did not fully understand the principle, but he practiced tithing and Melchezedik was the high priest to whom he sowed. This seed sown was received and went into his future so Isaac too, enjoyed the blessing of abundance and overflow. The increase was in his DNA as a result of Abraham’s willingness to sow seed. This seed caused Isaac to prosper and live in abundance all the days of his life. The wisdom of a Father who was willing to release a seed to prosper his way. Abram’s gift indicates that he considered Melchizedek a true priest of the living God; in giving this gift Abram was giving to the Lord.
There is such power in a seed. Most people get caught up in “what does the church do with the money” or why should we sow, or will I have enough if I sow. No thought is given to the seed in their hand and the ground in which they are sowing. Once you release a financial seed, you can be guaranteed a financial harvest. This harvest is not a once off harvest but a deposit into the economy of God. Recognising the priestly anointing on Melchezedik and knowing it was good grown was by the spirit of God in Abraham. He knew that he Knew someone greater was in his presence and he decided to sow into their life. The evidence of his obedience and willingness to sow, is seen in the life of Isaac. Isaac never lacked. A wise father prepared his future for him by his obedience and seed sowing.
I challenge you, sow financial seed. Recognize the anointing on the ministry and the ground in which you sow. Then watch the manifestation of the harvest in your life and in the life of your generations. Abraham was known as the father of faith, his faith watered his seed and brought harvest after harvest.
