Good Ground

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty”
What is good ground? A heart that is hungry for every good thing God has for them. A heart that is hungry for the word of God. A heart where the word of God can penetrate and begin to germinate. A heart that receives the word of God and allows the word to grow. A heart that then sees a manifestation of the word in their lives.
We need to give the Holy Spirit a chance to develop our hearts into good ground. We have to allow him to garden our hearts into fellow ground. Fellow ground is land is land that is prepared for sowing, it is then left to rest, uncultivated for a certain time, allowing it to rest and recover its fertility so the weeds can be suppressed. The word in your heart comes in and brings forth fruit in its season. The more of the word that is sown, the more of the word is cultivated in your heart, driving out the doubt and fear and strongholds that have held you captive. The Holy Spirit prepares your heart, the preacher sows the word, another waters the word and God gives the growth. We need to be good ground to see the manifestation of the blessing in our lives. We will flourish in this life.
