One Word From Jesus
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read
“There was a certain man there who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?” The invalid answered, “Sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am coming [to get into it myself], someone else steps down ahead of me.” Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk.” Immediately the man was healed and recovered his strength, and picked up his pallet and walked.”
This man in the above scripture was sick for thirty eight years (38 years) imagine that. He was conformed to thinking that he could only get his healing at this well. Well, this “well” did not meet his need. He waited a total of 38 years to get his healing because his mind was set on getting the healing from the well. He heard that healing was at the well when the angel stirred the water, so he believed and went day after day, in the direction of his faith. Nothing happened, but he waited and he hoped. It took Jesus a few moments to say a few words and the man was healed. Just like that 38 years of waiting was wiped away.
He saw the man
He realized he was there for 38 years
He asked him a question before he spoke the word of healing.
He asked the question to discover where the man was at.
The answer the man gave made him realise that the journey of healing could take another 38 years because his faith was in the wrong direction
Jesus spoke the words of healing to change the course of his faith
When the man obeyed the word and took up his mat, he was healed and restored
Family of God, I trust you get the reason I am saying this. Jesus is concerned with the way you think. The way you think takes you on a course of faith or doubt. You decide, what do I believe, where am I going? Where is my thinking taking me. Listen to Jesus, his one word can bring you results in an instant, where as you have been waiting for so long for the answer.
One word from Jesus will change the course of your life. listen!
