Seeding for Increase

God’s desire for our lives is for us to increase and live in the overflow. That is our portion in this life. We were designed to live in the overflow of every blessing that God has for us.

The secret to this increase is seed sowing. We are disciplined seed sowers into the kingdom of God. We do not only sow financial seed, we also sow our time and our gifting so the kingdom of God is established. However, the responsibility lies with every believer. If we want financial increase, then we need to sow financial seed. We can only receive a harvest of what we sow. A farmer who plants apple seed, will receive a harvest of apples. The one seed brings forth a multitude of apples. The farmer cannot plant apple seeds and expect oranges, that would be crazy. The farmer is intentional, he is sure about the type of harvest he is expecting. He prepares the land, sows the seed and continuously monitors the growth of the expected harvest. Watering the seed and protecting the harvest from the enemy. He knows the exact time that the harvest is expected.

Likewise, with us, as we sow seed into the kingdom of God, we do so intentionally. We are first fruit givers. When money comes into our hands, the first thought is to sow into the kingdom of God, if we are tithers, we restrict ourselves to ten percent and the ninety percent is protected and multiplied because of our obedience to the word. As we grow and mature in the kingdom of God, ten percent becomes just a measure of seed sowing, we now go beyond the ten percent. We enter into partnership. We have experienced the overflow, so we are not afraid of sowing. We have seen what God has done in our finances. We are confident that God is able to supply every need according to His riches in glory.
