Our Sufficiency is in Christ
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God”
We carry this confidence in our hearts because of our union with Christ before God. Yet we are not capable enough to do anything in our own strength, for our true competence flows from God’s empowering presence. It is our God who empowers us to live in success and victory in every area of our lives. The Apostle Paul is writing here to the Corinthian Church as he was trying to impress on them, their need for Christ. He kept saying to them that his confidence was not in his own strength or ability, his confidence came from is faith in our living Christ.
Paul’s trust is not self-confidence but confidence in the sufficiency of God’s Spirit, who empowers life and ministry in the reality of the new covenant.
We too, live in the confidence of Christ in us. We are empowered by the living spirit of God who resides in us. We live daily in the faith of the son of God. We were never meant to do this life on our own. God is with us. He sent His Holy Spirit to teach us, lead us and guide us in every area of our lives. We can be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in us, will complete it to the very end. Our sufficiency, our completeness and our victory is in Christ.
