Maintaining Good Relationships
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it”
Withholding good is not a neutral thing. The proverb assumes the power to help is already in your hand, and it calls the delay itself a wrong. Many relationships are not damaged by something we did. They are damaged by the good we had the power to do and did not do.
Pay what you owe. Honour those in authority. Do not grow tired of helping. Relationships need maintenance the way a home needs maintenance, a little attention often rather than a rescue at the end. Please do not wait until you feel like it. Do the good while it is in your hand to do.
Relationships are important to God, therefore they are important to me.
