Embracing the New and Living Way

“by this new and living way which He initiated and opened for us through the veil [as in the Holy of Holies], that is, through His flesh”
Jesus is our faithful high priest who has opened this new and living way. In the gospel and even in the Old Testament, the tabernacle had a curtain preventing people from entering the holy of holies. However, when Jesus was crucified, and gave up his life, the curtain was torn right down the middle and access was given to the holy of holies. It was a significant act, we were no longer on the outside. We were given access to enter in and partake of the table of the Lord. We had access to God the Father and we no longer needed an intercessor to talk on our behalf. We have the right and privilege to enter into the holy of holies and boldy make our requests known to the Father. We are given the right to a personal relationship with the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit. Wow! What a privilege. The sting of death is defeated and the stench of the grave has no power over our lives. We have the right to life, till it overflows.
We are encouraged by the word not to neglect attending church? Why? Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The word begins to make my heart fertile ground. My faith begins to grow and as my faith grows, I become pleasing to God, because God’s word says, it’s impossible to please God without faith. When speaking to Joshua, God said, meditate on my word, day and night so shall you make your prosperous. In the New Testament, the bible says, let the word of God dwell in you richly. So, access to this new and living way is spending time with God, reading the word and fellowship with the brethren.
You are blessed.
