The Power of Transformation

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]”
Rom 12v2

We have been endued with power from on high. We are filled with the Holy Spirit and power. What does this power do? This power in our lives translates us from ordinary human being to sons of God, empowered with the grace of God to do things that are not natural in this natural world. We have the power to change things through this power.

The Holy Spirit in our lives comes in, his presence in our lives never leaves us the same. Slowly there is a change that begins to take place, in our thinking and walking, there are changes that are made. How we used to think begins to change, we used to think like the world thinks, but slowly you will notice that you are thinking differently. An example of this is, you may have been a person who used vulgar language or spoke anyhow to people. Having the spirit of God living on the inside of you, now suddenly if you use a word that was ok for you to use before, now is not acceptable, it’s as if something or someone stops you from using that word. This is transformation. You do not actually tell yourself how to speak, but the Spirit of God working in you, changes your language. Look back on your life and see how you have been transformed. Your thinking has changed. The way you speak has changed. Look back where you were and now where you are. You are transformed, the journey of transformation has started and will continue until Jesus comes.
