Tasting the Goodness of God
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither”
Jesus came to the well at Samaria, where he met the Samaritan woman. This woman was not a covenant child of God, yet he spoke to her, knowing her sin and where she was in her life. She was hesitant to speak to him as he was a Jew and she a Samaritan. (they really did not ever talk to each other). Yet he spoke to her and revealed her life. He spoke of life and salvation and the woman was touched. So much so that she went to influence her entire city. The people of the city came out and met Jesus. She tasted of the goodness of the Lord, it was not just the water he offered, but He was the water of life. When she drank of the goodness of God she could not get enough of it.
When the hand of the Lord touches your life, you can never be the same. There is a remarkable change, a burden lift and every sin removed. You take on his yoke that is easy and his burden that is light. The impossible becomes possible. The hopeless situation you are facing becomes a door opener for hope and faith.
I am not sure what you are facing today, whether it is sickness or insufficiency and lack or whatever it is. Taste of the Lord and see that he is good and His mercy endures forever. His mercy is renewed every day. His love is from everlasting to everlasting. You will experience the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. No good thing will he withhold from those who love Him. He will uphold you with his righteous right hand. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
