Speaking Forth Words of Blessing

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand”
Gen 14v18

Words are powerful. By your words you will be justified and by your words you shall be condemned. In the above scripture Melchizedek spoke forth words of blessing. He blessed Abram. Abraham was blessed throughout his life because of the words spoken over his life.

Family of God, we have a responsibility to watch our words. Let us be people who speak words of blessing over our loved ones, our spouse, our children, our collegues. Speak a blessing so their lives can be blessed. A life that is blessed is a life of ease and the ability to succeed in everything we do.

The bible says, out of the abundance of the mouth the mouth speaks. This means, our thoughts impact our words. If we allow ourselves to meditate on anger and bitterness, when we speak, those are the words we will speak. Even if we try to speak kind words, the tone of the voice will reflect the anger and bitterness. How will we then speak words of blessing to someone. I adjure you, by the mercies of God, let the peace of God prevail in your life so it becomes easy for you to speak words of blessings to those you come in contact with.

Speak forth words of blessing, our world and every person you meet needs to be blessed.
