Conquering the Darkness

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Saul got up from the ground, but though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was unable to see for three days, and he neither ate nor drank.”
Acts 9v7-9

Paul, who was named Saul at the time of this scripture being written, was persecuting the church until He encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus. What an encounter. He was a young man who was riding on the pinnacle of success and totally pleasing to the leaders of the Jews at the time. He felt that what he was doing was right, however on meeting Jesus, His clear vision caused him to be blinded. The anointing on the life of Ananaes was what Jesus used to heal Paul’s blindness. The darkness of his blindness to the gospel was dispelled. When his were opened, he was no longer the same Saul who was persecuting the church, but a changed man who was now a carrier of the gospel. His darkness was turned to light and revelation.

In our lack of knowledge of the word of God and the purposes of God, we too walk in darkness. We think we are right in what we are doing or saying or believing. It is not until the revelation of God’s word enters our hearts and minds that we begin to understand the workings of God. Paul went from a persecutor to a lover of God to a builder of the church of God.

Family of God, we have the anointing abiding in us to conquer the darkness that is in our lives. When I say darkness, I mean a lack of revelation of the purposes of God for your life.

Ask the Holy Spirit to take away the blindness in your life so you can begin to see what it is you have to do. You too can go from just knowing about God, to knowing Him and being used by him. He is waiting on you.
