Practice Gratitude

“O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness endures forever”
Oh the joy of thanksgiving. A grateful person is a free person. A grateful person is a person who is not self- obsessed or self-centred. That person does not worry about me, me, me.
A grateful person has a heart for others and any little thing someone does for them, the words, “thank you” just flows out. There is a joy that flows out of the heart of a thankful person, is contagious. They just cannot help but have a smile on their face and show the joy of the Lord as they thank him for the great things he has done in their lives. This gratefulness opens up a capacity in them for God to do more. Why? They were grateful in the little and now God wants to do the “much”.
A parent who is thankful and grateful brings up their children to be grateful and thankful. In most cases they do not even have to teach much, their children automatically mirror their behaviour. Where a child fails to say thank you, parent take the time to remind them, say thank you. Once you instill this into your child, you are cultivating a culture of gratitude in your family and your future. This spirit of gratitude attracts the blessing of the Lord and you become a trophy of his grace that he displays to the world.
An ungrateful person is always grumpy and never sees the good in others. No matter what you do for them, they are always wanting more or never even have a smile on their face to say thank you for being kind to me. Actually, kindness does not exist in their vocabulary or way of life. Please mirror the joy of the Lord by being a grateful person.
