Thankful That I Am a Vessel Unto Honour

Pastor Wesley & Yajhna Sing · 2 min read

“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”
2 Timothy 2v20

We have been made in the image and likeness of our God. To each of us, God has given us a gift, a talent so we can be a blessing to the body of Christ. Each of our giftings are different and unique to each of us, but know this, your gift and purpose is necessary to the body of Christ to fulfill the great calling. As we fulfill our call, our purpose, we bring glory to God.

This gifting brings honour to the kingdom of God in some way.

Yes there are some who are used in a very visible way and are known by many, but never doubt that you are important and significant in your calling. There are people that only you can touch as God has purposed you to touch the lives of the people in your world. You may not be out there being celebrated but your impact has long standing impact on many lives.

Give thanks and honour God for his great gift in your life.

You are indeed a vessel of honour and are able to give honour to whom honour is due.
