“So Isaac called for Jacob, blessed him, and said, “You must not marry any of these Canaanite women. Instead, go at once to Paddan-aram, to the house of your grandfather Bethuel, and marry one of your uncle Laban’s daughters. May God Almighty bless you and give you many children. And may your descendants multiply and become many nations! May God pass on to you and your descendants the blessings he promised to Abraham. May you own this land where you are now living as a foreigner, for God gave this land to Abraham.” So Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Paddan-aram to stay with his uncle Laban, his mother’s brother, the son of Bethuel the Aramean.”
Yes Jacob was a schemer who stole his brother’s birth right however God had a plan and purpose for Jacob, he would be the father of the 12 tribes of Israel. In the process of being made into the great leader God had called him to be, God had to sanctify the character of Jacob by the painful events he would go through. The first being, that he had to marry a woman from their own kind, a woman that could walk with him and bring forth sons that would be the blood line God had called them to be. God was with Jacob and changed him into Israel by the things he suffered. He prospered wherever he went. Even his uncle Laban prospered in his family and household and material wealth because of the presence of Jacob.
You and I, are carriers of the presence of God. Within us is the plan and purposes of God so where ever we are, the hand of the Lord is with us and we will prosper. Look around you and see, the business you are in is prospering because of your presence and the presence of God on the inside of you. You are a carrier of the presence of God and super natural things will happen because you are there. You are a door opener to the blessing of God. practice the presence of God and begin to see the wonders God will work through you.
