God Has Called You to Win Battles

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.”
Peter denied his identity when he was confronted about being a disciple of Christ: “I am not!” (Luke 22:58) was his reply. Jesus, on the other hand, boldly stood and declared His identity to the Sanhedrin: “You are right in saying I am (Luke 22:70 AMP).
Gideon went through the process of learning boldness in his identity in God. The angel informed Gideon that he was a “mighty warrior” (Judges 6:12), which he denied and said, “I am the least in my family” (v15). His own natural personality was to hide in the winepress. However, his spiritual personality was to be a deliverer. After the test of the fleeces, he began to believe the report of the angel about himself! Gradually, Gideon realized that when God was with him, he could accomplish the impossible.
Stop looking at your old identity of weakness and fear. Believe that God has called you and equipped you to win your battles. Fear and timidity are the weapons the enemy uses to intimidate you. Boldly confess to the world, the devil and yourself: “I am who He says I am!”
