The Power of a Godly Agreement – Part 2

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in Heaven. 20 For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My Name, there I AM in the midst of them.”
(Matthew 18:19-20 – AMP)

Protective agreement is more for protection which are negotiated from an adverse perspective. (It focuses on what might go wrong). It fosters an adverse climate in new relationships. Protective agreements have diminishing value in our transactional milieu. (The agreement only holds as long as their expiry dates). Example: Between a labour union and management regarding shift times or salaries, etc.

The characteristics of this agreement.

1. It resolves conflict.

2. Requires negotiation.

3. It’s to do with what can go wrong.

4. This agreement binds both parties legally to the signed agreement. (To secures either parties concerns for the future).

This agreement is dependent on a legal system to bind the parties to the agreement.
