A Life Rooted in God – Part 1

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
(2 Corinthians 5:18-19 – NIV)

We have been given the responsibility to share the message of the Gospel with the whole world. You must therefore be connected to God. John 15:2 NIV “He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” If you cut yourself from God, your potential is aborted. You cannot plant yourself in anything but God.

John 15:4 NIV “Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.” You must know God personally and draw your nutrients from Him. Your need for God is not an alternative or an option. Like the plants and the animals, which cannot be maintained without soil, and the fish which cannot live outside the water, we cannot flourish and bear fruit apart from God.

He is not trying to convince us that He is the best way, He is the only way. Therefore, a life rooted in God is a necessity and there is no other option.
