Understanding Your Potential – Part 1

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].”
It is a concern to know that with over six billion people on this planet today, only a few will find their true potential. Your potential was not given for you to deposit it in the grave. You must understand the great potential you possess and commit yourself to maximizing it in your short lifetime.
So, what is Potential? Potential is dormant ability reserved power, untapped strength unused success or hidden talents. It is all you can be but have not yet become. All you can do but have not yet done. How far you can reach but have not yet reached and what you can accomplish but have not yet accomplished.
God created everything with potential including you. He placed the seed of each thing within itself. Genesis 1:12 NKJV “…Whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Potential is always present waiting to be exposed and it demands that you never settle for what you have accomplished. For example, if you did your exam and got 80% don’t settle for that, you can get 90%. So, don’t die with your potential.
