The Best Gift of Christmas Day

Merry Christmas! I trust that you greeted and wished someone today. Today is a Special day all over the world. Christmas day is a day set aside to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. People all over the world are celebrating Christmas. Most people celebrate this day but don’t know the full significance of this Special Day.

But the Christian should reflect on what Jesus did. If Jesus Christ did not come to earth, there would have been no salvation for mankind. He died for us, and was raised from the dead. Why did Jesus come? He came to give us eternal life, and this is what we as Christians celebrate. Let us look at what the scriptures declare: “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:12-13 NIV) “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12 AMP).

This eternal life that you have received is a perfect gift you can give to someone. As you enjoy this day, remember that to many, this is just another holiday, because they have not embraced the message of the gospel. Therefore, reach out to someone and share the good news of what Jesus has done. As you go through your day, Celebrate Jesus Christ. Once again, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
